Carp Lake Overview
Press Manor Carp Lake is a beautifully maintained 3.0 acre carp fishing lake in private Peak District surroundings, around 5 miles north of Matlock.
Re-stocked in 2012, the lake now holds around 80 fish including Common Carp, with features such as gravel bars, underwater islands and a small waterfall.
With depths ranging from 3ft to 9ft, large well-kept pitches, excellent parking and on-site toilets, it offers a peaceful and rewarding carp fishing experience.

Prices and Opening Times
Book day and longer sessions in advance using the Swimbooker App.
- Monday to Thursday Day Ticket — £12.00
- Friday to Sunday Day Ticket — £15.00
- 24 Hour Session — £24.00
- 36 Hour Session — £36.00
- 48 Hour Session — £48.00
- 60 Hour Session — £60.00
- If multiple anglers are booking, all anglers must pay using the app

Day tickets run from 7:00am until dusk, and all sessions must be booked in advance using the Swimbooker App.

Carp Fishing Rules
Please follow our carp lake rules to protect fish welfare and help keep the lake safe for everyone.
- Book in advance using the Swimbooker App.
- Maximum 2 rods per angler.
- No floating bread on hooks, No nuts, beans or plastic baits on rigs
- Manufactured barbless hooks only.
- No lead core, braided main line, fixed leads. or snag leaders.
- Fish must be returned alive within 3 minutes.
- No sacking or retaining of fish.
- Use 32 inch plus landing nets and suitable cradles or large unhooking mats.
- No unattended baited rods.
- No radios, open fires, disposable BBQs, swimming or heavy drinking.
- Noise must stop from dusk or 9:50pm, whichever is earlier.
- No tents, only bivvies
- Bait boats are allowed if used sensibly.
- Under 16s must be accompanied by an adult over 18.
